Introducing the NEW Just Released Yamax Digi-Walker 3 Directions accelerometer sensor pedometer.
Don’t be befooled by the name – this pedometer is not just for the Power
Walker, it’s also the perfective collaborator if you are just starting a health program!
This is a very dissimilar pedometer than any pedometer you may have already
used. The Yamax Power Walker uses a 3D acceleration sensor and does not use the
usual pendulum mechanism. (no more annoying clicking noises!)
What is an acceleration sensor?
Even though the use of an acceleration sensor may be new to a pedometer – it
is surely not a new invention – numerous of us may be using it now…Check out
the following paragraph to comprehend the most mutual
usage.
Accelerometer Usage The most significant use of accelerometers
is in the deployment of vehicular airbags, which are designed to trigger when
the accelerometer determines that the vehicle’s rate of speed has significantly
dropped off. In a similar vein, accelerometers may be applied to switch on special
braking schemes when a vehicle appears to be spinning or tilting out of control.
Accelerometers are also commonly employed to protect fragile pieces of equipment.
Vehicles may use the data provided by accelerometers to reduce strain on
their internal workings when going over bumpy or windy roads, and galore laptop
computers are now equipped with sensors which take protective physical measures
(such as sealing off the hard drive) to mitigate the harm if they detect that
the computer has been dropped.

Omron hj 303 rocks! By Terrance B. Shaw I have both the omron 720it (computer downloadable) and hj 112…both are exceedingly precise and easy to use…this revision of the pedometer conception is terrific…small size is commodious for pocket but huge numbers are easy to see…easy to set and use…it in truth does work in any position…the display blanks out to save power so it is inconvenient to perpetually look at it…still not much of a problem…i checked it versus my other omrons and it’s within 0.7%…it keeps better track of aerobic action than the others (they only record after 10 min of activity…the hj 303 after 4 seconds)…overall, the size (small) and accuracy and ease of use make this pedometer an outstanding device for walking or running.

Easy to Use By J. Edgar This pocket pedometer is smooth & slim and without apparent effort fits in a pocket for use. The leash has a good clasp and using it makes me comfortable that the pedometer isn’t going to slip out of my pocket. It also has an adaptable clip, to use on a waist band or belt.
Tracks moderate pace walking in addition to the overall steps for the day. I never need to reset it, unless I want to track the overall total for a specified event (the TRIP function). It doesn’t lose the info for the week, and the counter starts fresh after midnight each day.

Great reinforcement for walking! By C. Wells I actually like this little pedometer. I’ve had so some pedometers you would think I gather them (hmmmm…maybe I do now!) This one is easy to set. It has a removable beltclip that is easy to install and holds comfortably on my waistband. With other pedometers I’ve had difficulties with them popping off if I bend over or sit down. This one is little so doesn’t get that same upwards pressure on it when I move that way. It is easy to slip in a front pants pocket and little sufficient to work well in a shirt pocket as well (although I haven’t employed it that way). I haven’t tried it in my purse, but I suspect it would work that way as well since it handles being carried in my pocket just fine and I’ve also tried carrying it in my hand to test the accuracy there. I think I’ve purchased my last pedometer…I love this one. I in truth like being competent to see just how galore steps I’ve taken and that it inspires me to keep moving toward my 10,000 steps a day. And, it’s little and light sufficient that I often times forget I’m even wearing it!
