When you’re thinking regarding ditching those plastic water bottles, I don’t blame you! What you’re soon going to find out is that when you switch to a recycling water bottle, you’re not only going to save money, you’re going to be saving the environs as well! Since there are so numerous bottles out there, one of my favorites is Camelback. They have great reviews online, as well as a outstanding selection to choose from.

Below are a few things that you’re going to want to look into, when you’re ready to make a purchase. Surprisingly, there is more to a water bottle, than just drinking from it. This is where numerous persons make a mistake, because they just pick one off the shelf and just make a purchase.

Make sure it’s BPA free - Many bottles are BPA free and if they are, they are going to advertize it. BPA is a known endocrine that is found in hard plastics, as well as canned goods. Since you’re going to be drinking from plastic, you’re going to want to be as healthful as possible.

Consider an ice stick - Many water bottles today have a very cool feature where you may freeze an ice stick and place it in the bottle. By doing this, you’re going to keep your drink cooler a lot longer. The cool thing when it comes to this is that you’re going to find that the ice won’t melt into your drink, watering it down.

Don’t be cheap – Don’t go out and buy a cheap water bottle. Instead, you’re going to want to spend at least $15 to $20. By spending this kind of cash on a bottle, you’re going to find that you’re going to get something that is going to last for a while.

Now that you know what to look for, I did a great deal of exploration on galore online merchants who sells goods at retail and the following brands are what I came up with when I was doing my homework.

  • Camelback BPA Free Better Bottle with Bite Valve — It’s BPA free and will run you around $20 tops.
  • 0.75 LIter Insulated -A outstanding carrier that is going to keep your liquids cold for a long time. Has a ton of reviews and they are all very positive.
  • 21 Ounce Chill Jacket - The last one on the list is this “chill jacket” version. Great for keeping liquids cold and will run around $15.

I used this bottle in my speed bike along a 75 miles trainig for the first time. I was surprised with the capacity , despite de size. Also the drinking system is very soft for our mouth and eficient.

4Don’t confuse this with the podium ice which amazon does not carry
By Fair review
This is a good bottle that works well, is light, and doesn’t give water a bad taste. It will keep your drinks cooler, about 2x longer, BUT this bottle looks very much like the much better podium ice which will keep your drink cooler 4x longer. So in other words, this bottle is only half as good as the podium ice, so don’t get confused (like I did) and think you are getting the really good bottle. At the time of this review you won’t find that one carried by amazon, and you won’t find a prime option either.

2Better Than Nothing
By ebuyer
I bought this bottle for longer bike rides and found it keeps my drink cool on a hot day (above 85 degrees F) for about an hour to an hour and a half. That’s starting out with cold liquid and ice cubes. I guess that’s acceptable, but I’m reading the “Podium Ice” version of this bottle works better. Is it worth the extra cost? Up to you. I think paying $10 for a water bottle is kind of excessive anyway, but I was sick of warm water. The “Ice” model is closer to $20 bucks. Realistically, on a very hot day, you should probably be drinking the whole bottle within an hour anyway. The valve is nice, I like that it’s hands free, though it’s VERY DIFFICULT to clean. After a few uses, there’s now dirt or mold or something inside the spout that I cannot get rid of. Tried running it through the dishwasher, bleach water, a brush…nothing works. But I’m still alive, so if you can live with a gross spout, then it’s a decent water bottle. My biggest complaint is that the bottle, when wet with condensation (which tends to happen on a hot day), is EXTREMELY slippery. Annoyingly so when you’re riding and trying to get it out of your water bottle cage without dropping it. So that’s kind of a critical design flaw for such an expensive bottle. It smelled a bit funky (like plastic) out of the box, but I washed it with dish soap and a bottle brush, and it does not make my drink taste bad. It’s supposed to be BPA free, though it’s made in China, so who knows what’s really in this plastic. As with any plastic bottle, I wouldn’t store liquid in it or drink out of it more often than I have to. I recommend with reservations.
